Hey guys do you people think that you can search better than anyone?? !!! Then here is an ultimate  challenge for you all to prove yourself by participating in  " Internet Freak 2k11."
About Internet Freak 2k11:
This is all about how effectively you can search and show the results within time.There are many ways to get to the answers you want. You may come up with a different strategy of your own, which is fine -- the answer is what counts. But keep in mind that different search engines will give you different answers, so it's worth your while not to stop when you find one answer -- try a different route and see what else you can find.

                                           So guys what are you waiting for??? Participate at Internet Freak 2k11 at IARE dundigal campus & prove that you are  unique !!
Objectives :
To bring an awareness among the students that "How searching skills play a vital role in their career."
Some skillsets which stays with you forever have a predominent impact in your CAREER AHEAD...                           
Rules & Regulations :
1) All the students will be provided systems with net facility.
2) Here you will be having 3 rounds.In first, second and third rounds there'll be 3, 4, & 5 levels respectively and toughness increases aswell.
3) The round wise time limit is given and it decreases round wise.
4) The task given should be completed within time.
5) The evaluation is based on how fast you are showing the result.
6) Registrations will be done on the spot. Participiant certificates will also be provided.
7) The winner will be awarded a merit certificate and a cash price.

R & D Showcase- Project Expo


Description
A Platform where undergraduates and Postgraduates students showcase their innovative ideas, projects & any other recent developments in Research & technology.
On 24th & 25th Feb, 2011.
Timings:10am to 4pm
Rules & Regulations:
  • Registration fee for each team is Rs.200/-(for each team of max. 4 members)
  • Last date for Submission: 22-feb-2011. (Late entries are not allowed)
  • The projects to be submitted can be in any field but should be experimental in nature and based on the student’s own work
  • Participants must exhibit their project on both the day’s i.e., on 24th&25th  
  • Participants should mail their abstracts & project details in the following order:
                     TITLE OF THE PROJECT:
                     COLLEGE NAME:                      
                     OVER VIEW OF THE PROJECT:
                     TEAM MEMBERS (With their mail IDs and Ph. No.)
  • A brief idea of how the design could be presented (exhibited) during the exhibition should also be included in the abstracts.
  • Participants are also required to mention at the beginning of their abstracts                               if their idea has a prototype / model.
  • Participants should bring all their requirements; if anything is required it should be specified along with the abstract.
  • Abstracts of the implemented project must be mailed to eh.innovision@gmail.com
  • The selected projects will be intimated through mail and phone.
  • As a participating university, you will be provided with the following:
              - One table top (behind which you can position visual display walls)
              -  Four chairs
              - Power connections will be provided. (if req.)
  • We have no PCs available for you to use, and so you will probably have to bring in your own PC, fully set up.
  • Participants should mail their full project details and the abstracts preferably in '.doc' or '.PDF' format.
  • Subject of the mail to be sent should follow the format  < Department - Area - Title of the project>  Eg:  < CSE - Networking - Title of the project>               
  • The abstract should be of text typed with Times New Roman font of 'Size 12' excluding the first sheet containing the title and the last containing the references (if any).
  • The last sheet may have a list of references - websites, books, journals and so on which amply support the ideas or solutions implemented/proposed.                    
  • The organizers reserve the rights to change any or all the above rules as they deem fit.
  • Any change in the rules, if any will be highlighted on the website and notified to the registered participants.
  About judgment:
                        A detailed report in support of the design and highlighting the important aspects should also be brought. This report will be also considered for judging.
Judging Criteria:
                      i) Presentation of the project.
                      ii) Technical knowledge of the team members.
                      iii) Practical utilization of the project.
 The decision of the judges shall be treated as final and binding on all.

Ethical Hacking
IARE’s innoVision2k11 in association with Innobuzz Knowledge Solutions is organizing a workshop on Ethical Hacking. This Ethical Hacking Workshop is a two day workshop on Ethical Hacking and Information Security, aiming at spreading awareness on the need of Ethical Hacking and the consequences of Hacking attacks.
The focus of the wo...rkshop is to learn how to protect us from the menace of hacking. During the workshop, the primary aim would be to introduce you to the current popular attacks and explain the techniques to counter them..
The other focus of the workshop is to enable you to build up future systems. It includes making you aware of the current shortcomings which give rise to bad security systems. As it is quite a vast topic to talk about, we will be giving an overview of what constitutes ‘ideal secure system’. This course would equip students to counter the potential attacks. Also, the aim would be impart technical know-how of how to make the Internet transactions safe and secure. This would be a founding stone for India to emerge as a Super Power in times to come.
